Unlike the Samsung (and the widely regarded BenQ) this AOC 3D monitor is not a 120Hz monitor. It is a 60Hz panel that does 3D using the passive technology of using an FPR layer on the panel.
For gaming in 3D and movies this tech is supposed to be pretty good - though bear in mind you only see half the resolution per eye in 3D mode (compared to active 3D systems where each eye sees intermittent full resolution frames). However, if you think you may be playing games a lot in 2D - then a 120Hz monitor would be much better.
As as905 says - the s23a700D is still a pretty great price (especially after you claim the 20% VAT back from samsung - that deal only lasts for monitors purchased this week).
i'm not sure as gibbo said it won't be this cheap again.still you should buy it if you are into fps online gaming & enjoy 3d movies, the image quality is just so damn good,i'm seeing things in mw3 that i have not seen or noticed
before.
trust me £188 is a brilliant bargain for this screen.
