It seems to be the cheapest 144hz monitor on the market right now @ £169.99.

For anyone who has one:

What's the monitor like? Is it cheap for a reason? Is it good quality?

Also:

If I was to order one from OCUK, would it come with a cable that is capable of running @ 144hz? Or do I need to buy that seperately?

Thanks.

My understanding when I was looking into this is that it's basically a feature-stripped version of the G2460PQU. I can't remember exactly what it lacked, but recall it was stuff like USB hub, some ergonomic options, that kind of thing. My recollection is that people were saying that the screen and display quality is basically the same as the PQU, which has some decent enough reviews, although none really outstanding I don't think. (All a bit vague from memory here).

Spot on. The Fq is just a cut down version without USB or a fully adjustable stand. It has the same panel and offers very similar performance at a lower price. So reviews of the g2460Pqu (including my own) will give a good idea of what to expect on the Fq.

Ah yes, I remember I read a few reviews on your site when looking at current monitor offerings. I really like the thoroughness of it. Lots of information you don't find on many other monitor reviews.

And I'm still stuck in deciding how to upgrade my current monitor...

Ah that's cool! Not that you're stuck choosing a monitor. :p Many people are really confused due to the current selection of 'exciting' but quite different models. And then there are some others 'just around the corner'. Lots of models I'm looking forward to reviewing. I guess if you're prepared to go for something reasonably cheap but still really enjoyable (like these AOCs) but are happy to upgrade in the not too distant future that might be a plan.

Yes, that's one of the options I've considered. Drop under £200 now and wait until next year.

But... then I think g-sync looks really cool and I'd love to try it out when I have my annual gaming binge during my extended time off work.

And your site threw quite a few monitors I'd not considered into my decision matrix too. So thanks for making things more difficult! :p

I'm now thinking some gaming IPS monitors look nice, which I'd not considered at all prior to seeing your site recommend them. Then there are those nice 21:9 panels. <sigh>

But anyway, I'm derailing the OP's initial question...
