Hi quick question , when im on the csgo menu screen i can see the screen flicker now and then is this normal? is this a gsync thing? my eyes are getting sore and im wondering if this flickering is happening more often and im not noticing it thanks.

That's normal. It's flickering cause fps is obviously out of g-sync range (too high in your case) in the menus. Sometimes it goes very high or very low in other games during loading screens. Mitigation? Limit the fps around 140 and you won't have this in most games (except for a hose where loading screens sometimes go below 30 fps like attila total war when loading game or battle). I have the same monitor if you need the actual owner's advice.
