So, I recently purchased an AOC i2769Vm, however I couldn't get on with it, as it was just too big for the distance I was using it, and I was getting eyestrain after using it for a while.

I've gotten rid of it now, so I need a replacement (or 2 - I have dual 24" at work, so I figured it would make sense to replicate this).

I'm not really fussed about >60Hz (the i2769Vm was fine in terms of response time/latency), so am looking more at picture quality (although obviously don't want anything too slow as I will be using it for gaming).

I'm looking at a pair of either of these 2 monitors:

YOUR BASKET
1 x BenQ EW2440L 24" Widescreen Flicker Free LED Monitor - Black £139.99
1 x AOC I2369VM 23" Widescreen LED IPS Monitor - Black/Silver £129.95
Total : £284.04 (includes shipping : £11.75).

So the pros and cons of each (as far as I can tell).

+ AOC - I know the colour quality and response time is good enough, as it is basically just a smaller version of the 27" I had.
+ AOC - IPS, so better viewing angles
+ AOC - IPS, so more vivid colours (?)

- AOC - Slightly smaller screen (although I don't know how much difference the extra inch will really make :p)
- AOC - the 27" had quite noticeable IPS glow in the lower left corner, so since this is basically a smaller version of the same screen, I'm thinking this will have the same.

+ BenQ - slightly bigger screen (I think 24" is just right)
+ BenQ - VA, so better blacks (no IPS glow)
+ BenQ - Flicker free - may help with the eyestrain I was experiencing?

- BenQ - VA = slower response time? (although the stated specs actually show it as being faster; 4ms GTG vs 6ms for the AOC)
- BenQ - VA, so may suffer from "black crush"?
- BenQ - worse viewing angles (although not really an issue as I would be gaming head on anyway)

Thoughts on these points and feedback from anyone with these monitors?

Thanks :)
