AOC IPS Monitor issue

Hi all, I seem to be having a weird issue with my AOC IPS monitor, (pictures attached), lIf you look at the pictures you can see the rest of the monitor looks washed out, while the darker bar in the middle looks better, Its more noticeable with darker backgrounds, but there is definitely a contrast in quality. Its almost like the middle is IPS and the outer parts aren't.

I have narrowed it down to the monitor itself, I've tried two different computers, OS's, different GPU's and cables, all have the same result.

Has any one come across this?

Go to 'Picture Boost' on the OSD and make sure 'Bright Frame' is disabled.

Ive contacted AOC support twice now and still no reply, not sure what to do, is it regarded as a fault?, Its definitely noticeable when watching videos and gaming, which is what I'm mostly doing

If you've performed a factory reset and tried it on different PCs and the problem persists, you can consider it faulty. Hopefully AOC will get back to you (support can get overwhelmed at this time of year). It's the i2369Vm by the looks of things so will still be under warranty.

Thanks PCM2, its the i2757, still under warranty, lets see what AOC support say (though I haven't even received an acknowledgement email or any thing like that yet)

Ah yes, the rectangular stand should have given it away. :p I hope they do get back to you shortly.

Just an update, AOC support never got back to me, I contacted the retailer I bought it from and they offered me a full refund for it, so problem sorted. I am however disappointed in AOC's customer service, it might because the monitor was still a year within purchase so they prefer the retailer to handle it, regardless they should've still provided some technical support (or at least a reply), they do have a 3 year warranty, what worries me is if I wasn't able to return via the retailer Id be stuck dealing with AOC.

Futurewise, for me Id probably stay clear of AOC unless they were the only choice, anyway, for support and such it might be better to phone them up rather than deal with it through email, they do have a premium phone number from what i remember (which is why I didn't call) so expect it to show up on your bill

Sorry to hear they never even gave you the courtesy of a reply. That's never encouraging!
