Hi all, so basically I bought this monitor last week :

I finally made the jump to 144hz but since I have had this monitor my eyes have been absolutely killing and aching, I didn't go on the PC at all yesterday and still woke up today with them hurting. I have read that AOC monitors are known for being really bright and they weren't wrong, I've messed with the settings but tbh I have no clue what settings I should be going for, I've tried putting the brightness right down, at the moment I have it on 37 but doesn't seem to help.

The problem is I have spent a lot of money on this monitor and don't want to have settings that won't get the most out of the screen.

Does anyone have this monitor who can help me out on some calibration settings I should be using? I've never had this issue with any other monitor before.

I use it for gaming by the way.

Would appreciate any advice.

Cheers.

Have you tried f.lux? At least for night time viewing. Definitely helped my eyes.

I can't help with monitor settings though.

What would turning that off do? I can't test it at the moment as I'm going to have a couple of days away from the screen.

F.lux may be an option but like I said, I don't want to have settings that compromise the quality of having a 144hz monitor.

I may have to think about getting my eyes tested, glasses may be needed!

put contrast at zero and brightness at zero.
sure it will look a bit dull at first but you will get used to it.

if its still too bright then there are ways to get it even lower
