AOC or ASUS 27" 165HZ G-Sync IPS Monitor?

I need to get a new monitor that goes with my 1080TI that I have bought. After looking at my budget and what I am after, I want to go for one of these two:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Besides the contrast ratio being much higher on the ASUS, I don't really see the difference or the need to pay £100 extra for the ASUS. Can anyone else help or maybe have any other monitors they can suggest?

but there is another option the dell s2716dg or the dell s2417dg sure they are tn but better build quality and once properly calibrated quick and very good. ips panela atm are an expensive lottery.

I've looked at this one and have definitely put some thought into it, however, people have told me IPS is better than TN although IPS have been having quite a lot of issues.

EDIT: I don't really know much about monitors so my knowledge is limited.

You can take the AOC. Yes, IPS is better than TN.

Is it worth risking it by going for a IPS rather than a TN?
