Aoc over bright

I treated myself the other day to the AOC G2460Pf and although it seems nice, I can't help feel it is ridiculously bright.

I literally have the brightness on about 4 or 5.

Its plugged into an r9 390x through display port.

Am I doing something wrong or is this monitor just really really bright?

The monitor does have quite a high minimum luminance, as covered in my review. You should certainly be using '0' for brightness if you find 4 or 5 too bright, although this won't really make a dramatic difference. You might find it better when properly calibrated - try the ICC profile in my review.

I also had to change it to a different mode, far to bright.

Try that icare setting in the menu, turn it to off, I think it changes brightness depending on the ambient light, so off means it stops.

This model doesn't have an ambient light sensor. The mention of iCare on AOC's gaming mini-site is a mistake.

As for the review, Vinnydude... It is THE review of this monitor. Just Google the model number
