AOC Q2770PQU overclocking

I bought the AOC 27 inch 1440p model when it was on special last week. Have to say very impressed and so far i'm loving it.

Anyway how are the other guys who got the special deal finding it, anyone tried overclocking yet? So far I have managed to push it to 80hz on displayport with a toasty custom resolution. Anyone else had any success overclocking? What kind of results are you getting?

I will be keen to hear any further results of this, as buying one in 2 weeks ..... i am guessing you can only push the hz on displayport or will it work on HDMI as well.

I have mine running 85Hz it works perfect but will not go any higher.

My DGM won't go over 65HZ without getting weird so left it at stock. Nice screen and at least I don't have to get to much GPU power to run it!

I used the custom screen res in the Nvidia control panel.

Have you removed the Pixel clock limit on your drivers first? This could be limiting your overclock.

I have mine set back to 60Hz normal now. TBh for me it's fine and I don't want to risk breaking the monitor.

Do you find the screen goes darker, the further you push the refresh rate? I have a 27" 1440p screen (not the one in the OP) which is good up to 120Mhz but the screen gets steadily darker as the refresh rate goes up. No other weird things happen though just that.

I only managed 85Hz but noticed no difference in darkness.

Up to 90, theres a slight increase in darkness but nothing worth adjusting over. After that it goes quite dark very quickly.
