In the AMD Catalyst™ 14.7 RC3 driver release notes, it says:

Collaboration with AOC has identified non-standard display timings as the root cause of 60Hz SST flickering exhibited by the AOC U2868PQU panel on certain AMD Radeon™ graphics cards. A software workaround has been implemented in AMD Catalyst 14.7 RC driver to resolve the display timing issues with this display.
  • Users are further encouraged to obtain newer display firmware from AOC that will resolve flickering at its origin.
  • Users are additionally advised to utilize DisplayPort-certified cables to ensure the integrity of the DisplayPort data connection.

Anyone manage to get hold of AOC and get this firmware?

Also wanting to know this, just got one of these and cant go full 4K@60Hz on displayport with the supplied cable without horrendous flickering.

I'd get shot of the panel as soon as possible tbh which I hate to say but unless there is a major firmware update somewhere you'll still have the internal power saving bugs, really poor overdrive implementation and a whole 3 frames of input latency to deal with despite the other positives of the panel :|

Hi Rroff, thanks for your comments mate I only just got this monitor the other day so I am still getting to know it. Havn't gamed on it yet but have just got it set up having followed a review which had calibrated it and provided an Icc profile and I have to say I think the display looks fabulous, beautiful colours, no dead pixels or bleeding etc. I bought this monitor from Ocuk 'B' Grade section for £299, took a bit of a gamble and so far I am happy except for the 'flickering' problem. I have fired off an email to AOC asking for their input and if there is a fix. I await their response. Maybe the AOC Rep will see this thread and chip in. I can always DSR if I don't get any encouraging answers.:)

Haven't found a service menu yet but holding down menu + power locks/unlocks the OSD (which is mentioned in the manual) and volume + and - and power moves the OSD to the top of the screen :S (which I don't think is mentioned).
