So I'm torn between two choices, renewing WoW and transferring a character or buying Age of Conan. Both going to cost a similar price. I'm leaning towards Age of Conan but am slightly put off by the amount of technical glitches reported and the lack of end-game content (from what I've heard).

Can anyone reccommend still buying AoC despite these issues and can it truely have better gameplay than WoW?

Cheers.

No although I really wanted to get into AoC , maybe in a couple of years it might be different :D And what's crazy is it's more expensive than wow although only by a quid hehe

A certain book (not really anymore) shop sells 2month game cards for £15.99 (making it the same price i think?)

Cant really give you an answer until you give us some more info.

What is it you like about WoW? What is it that makes you currently choose WoW over any other MMO on the market? What makes you interested in AoC (other than listening to people hyping it up, what is it that appeals to YOU)
Are you excited about the WOTLK expansion for WoW? Will you be getting that, and if so do you have concerns that you will get AoC (or any other MMO) only to dump it the moment WOTLK comes out?

Really in an MMO choice, theres a lot more questions and info required to decide whether or not an MMO is right for someone. Thousands of people can say its the greatest MMO out at the moment, but that doesnt make it the right choice for a person. Easier if you tell us what it is you like about WoW, and we can then give you some insight into whether or not AoC will provide that same appeal

Age of Conan is a great game so far, the best thing about it in my opinion is as soon as i start playing it im in their for hours until i feel the need for sleep, but days can go by when i dont play it so its not entirely as addictive as Warcraft.

Their are a lot of glitches and bugs and overpowered classes but its still a fun game so far. Its just the lack of content at the moment. Im having no trouble finding quests at 51 but i hear they do become more sparse as higher levels approach. Which is why im taking it slow and taking everything in rather than rushing.

I would suggest waiting a while before you jump on the conan wagon but potentially it can be a great game once the nitty gritties are washed out.

hope you find this helpfull :)

edit : Cheapest place i was able to find 60 day prepaid card was £15.93, some websites have it up for £32 :O

www.quidco.co.uk

sign up and when buying someone go to quidco first, see if it's listed and once logged into quidco visit the retailer. It'll pay you cashback into your quidco account which you can then have transfered to your bank. I'm £150 up this year so far by taking advantage of offers for opening a new bank account etc which I was going to do anyway. tons of other you can use to, think my other half also uses pigsback.

or be a student! :) few of my mates went from wow to aoc and i dont see them playing it on xfire much any more, so i doubt aoc stands up to wow in the long term.

Ive been playing conan casually since ive got it and i think its really good.

The glitches havent been that huge for me, nothing major affecting my play.

It runs like a dog in places, but my pc isnt as fast as some so i just accept that.

WoW is the more addictive of the two, but i prefer the mature playerbase in AoC and going back into WoW now seems pointless with the expansion round the corner.

One plus side that people arent mentioning is that Conan is fresh out, if you are one of the early adopters by the time the bugs are ironed out you will have enough experience and good gear to really enjoy it.

Wow is potentially a life and relationship killer. So far conan is not :)
