Afew days ago i was playing on MGO fine but yesterday and today have seen rather not singing into PSN(but getting a connection, done a net test on ps3 and it fails when it gets to the 3rd bit being PSN)

I have a suspicion for the disconnects that it is a diff MTU size i need to use since when going wireless the ISP is Opal Telecom and when wired the ISP is AOL.

Anyone here wireless with their PS3 and using AOL shoot some MTU sizes my way?

I just did a speedtest and now supposedly my ISP is Carphone Warehouse.

lolwut

But my wired connection still says AOL.

Carphone warehouse own AOL actually but I can't imagine that the MTU sizes are causing the problem, it sounds like a DNS issue. Are you connecting to a ADSL Router, if so what model is it?

I am using a Netgear DG834PN

It seems as if the Router is losing data packets.

People say the wireless is bad on this router but my signal strength is always above 85%

Ahh i have the same router and wireless doens't work at all with my PS3, it's a well known problem :(

But i don't understand this. I was gaming last week on it fine(on wireless) for a few hours and only yesterday and today is it giving me problems.

I did have to install a software update for the PS3 yesterday though. (2.36)
