I would really appreciate some help with the above problem.
Unfortunately it has taken place against a tragic backdrop. My cousin's wife died of cancer on Tuesday this week & while I was out paying my respects, helping out in the house etc he told me that their internet connection had been down since last Friday and he needed to access his bank account to access money he needs at this terrible time.
I had a look at his computer and Netgear router, a DG834N, and all the hardware seems to be working fine, with the internet and wireless lights all lit up green.
After running the troubleshooter I got the message in the title. I googled this and it seems to be a problem with AOL or the line but I'm not sure how to resolve this or what is the best way or quickest way to do so.
I would really like to fix this for him as quick as possible - would be one less thing for him to worry about and would be a small gesture on my part.
Many thanks for any help you could give me.
