Wondering if someone can give me instructions on how to go about setting up AOL on both a desktop PC AND a wireless linked laptop connected to it?.
Going to a friends tomorrow morning to install his Netgear DG834PN.
The last time I set up a router and wireless connection under AOL, I recall the desktop could browse the web with the AOL software but the laptop could not, having to go through the IE icon for browsing.
So is it possible this time, for me to install AOL onto the laptop ( the desktop PC already has AOL installed on it ) and for him to be able to browse at the same time using the AOL software on both machines?. If so, how do you go about that?.
Also, he's been using, up until now, the standard AOL BT Voyager 105 USB modem. Once the Netgear is installed, where do I start as far as getting AOL to pick up the router?. I know about changing MTU settings etc, but its what to actually do once we start the AOL software I'm wondering about.......Adding new location etc?.
There used to be a guide available online for setting up the AOL software with the router, albeit it was a Netgear DG834G related guide, but it seems to have vanished now from AOL's pages. Any info on setting up the router with the AOL software would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
