Yes, AOL are shocking/terribad, but my sister is locked into a contract with them.

She gets something like 8meg which shes happy with but dialbb is nuts, it doesnt work half the time leading her to ringing up to fix it, shes just got a new router with them and is going to use that after ive formatted for her, why in 2011 are AOL forcing people to use dialbb or anyform of dialer to access "always on" broadband, ive been out of the loop for a while and cant get my head around it, any fixes would be great.

I'm a bit lost here, nothing should be dialling up if she has a router? Should just open IE and be online right away (or via the dire AOL software).

i understand he must be using a speedtouch modem
get yourself a standard ADSL router and use the wizard they have for it and input your username and password into it and it will hold its connection

also another note, you dont have to use AOLS software, windows can work a speedtouch dialup modem too if you set it up correctly, nothing google cant help with

Its not speedtouch, theyve used the AOL software for ages, but even with that the dialbb has been causing problems, im really at a loss to trying to help them.
