AOl question

Just got a colleague's laptop back to mine as apparently its running slowly. Aside from the fact its an ancient laptop, it has all the AOL bloatware on it which is really not helping.
Is it possible to connect to AOL having removed all of their bloatware from the system? Ideally I would make it use IE or Firefox instead?

You can if you use a router, I dont know what its like now adays but that used to be the case.

Yep, Get rid of any AOl bloat and it's fine.

We stil use SOL for our connection, (The connections fine but I hated the software) Not used the AOL bloat for years and years now and have a much better browsing experience!
