AOL setup guide for a NETGEAR DG834G?

Yeah have to agree, got the BT Voyager 105 modem here for AOL, and never bothered with all that software rubbish, AOL 9 etc... i just made my own connection. :D

A router for the win, tbh.

AOL setup with a router is a piece of cake - especially with a DG834G.

I noticed that my friend was on 1Mbps and being charged £24.99 for the 'Gold' 2Mbps package

When I spoke to 'tech support' the curry muncher referred to the connection speed Megabyte

Can't he downgrade to the 1 Mb Silver package although that would mean another 12 month contract wouldn't it?

Yes dude. It's taken me 5 years to get him to ditch that awful software and I'm now in process of helping him select a decent ISP like Nildram...

It's bizarre when you see a long time AOL user stuck with IE and Outlook Express... they're completely confused :D :D :D

Erm... that was me a few months ago

Not so much confused with IE but it took a bit of working things out to get my Zen e-mail account set-up for Outlook Express :o

Config. was pretty straightforward - just need a few extra settings when using IMAP rather than POP3.

His problem was not having his hand held by the dire AOL spyware!
