So with FTTC available I want to move from AOL/TalkTalk ADSL to Zen Fibre Unlimited.

However my mother uses her @aol.com email address for frankly everything.

If we move to Zen Fibre, will they delete our @aol.com email addresses?

Is there a way we can keep them?

If we can't it looks like we have to stick to TT Fibre which is a bit of a bummer.

Thankyou.

Best to log into your account with them and raise a support ticket / email enquiry as it may depend on the broadband agreement you made with them which they may have varied at different times, so whatever the deal was when you signed up.

Generally never a good idea to use an ISP provided email for this reason, they typically have tight allowances on storage and file size limits on attachments / overall size of messages being sent / received. Best to buy your own domain name and up until a while ago use it with Gmail / Google Apps and administer several email addresses for family all using the same domain name. This way you can up and leave ISP at end of contract and never have to update everyone with a new email address.

No, not exactly - ISP companies keep the e-mail for an initial period (usually a couple of months).

I would ask/PM or contact AOL's customer services and their IT help desk.

I wouldn't trust it though, although it will be available for a certain time period until they're deleting your details (including e-mail) into their old customer data.

There are time limits on Hotmail, Yahoo and other e-mail client website. If the user/creator of the e-mail address [email protected] doesn't sign in for a certain period of time (usually a year or just over) then it is selected as an 'inactive account' and pending for deletion off the system.

I use email @mydomain on my servers.

But my Mother uses it for EVERYTHING from utility company bills, banking, etc etc. She can't go about changing it either as she can't remember most of them.

We signed up in 1995 and have been a customer since then!

Maybe I should just go for talktalk unlimited and hope it is good?

There's no reason why they would cancel the email address. AOL does operate a free webmail service.
