Hey guys,

I was just having a chat with my dad about his computer and trying to tell him that it would be a good idea to get rid of the AOL web browser he currently uses and move some something more modern like Chrome.

He's being extremely stubborn hahaha about it.

Anyone give me some things to tell him about how bad the AOL web browser is that will hopefully make him change his mind?

Not a major issue if he doesn't change. It just really annoys me. hahaha.

I ahve tried everything I can think of. Going from why it's bad to stay with the AOL browser and why it would be good to change.

No, Thats too obvious for him. I ahve tried all sorts of tactics. Tried:

Security issues
Modern browsers have increased performance.
Extra useful features (he's not bothered about them)
Quicker to load up.
Can use tabs
Larger space to browse.
Websites will look better if they use Progressive enhancement

Ah well. It was worth a try. Guess i'll leave it a few more months then try again.

I think i'll need to find a more technical way so maybe somehow disable the AOL browser from working so he has no other option. The thing is that if I did manage to disable the AOL browser then he would figure out that I had done something so if I was to go down this route then I would have to make something else like Internet Explorer also not work. Any ideas?

Yeh, I suppose so. It's about the 3rd or 4th time I have tried to make him switch but to no avail.

Not a major issue like I said before but would be nice to satisfy my annoying trait to like to have everything up to date

It's his own machine. I have my own machine which I use so it was just trying to make him change browsers but I have given up. HAHAH
