Well ive been with AOL for a few years now and am reasonabilly happy.

I gave them a sneaky call last month to say i was interested in Sky amazing deal (total lie) and was thinking of migrating to them.

So a few seconds on hold and the lovely woman came back with hows 8mb/384kb for £9.99 sound?

So i kept with AOL and have been very happy until Monday.

I got home from work for my dinner to find i had no internet connection  so i checked all the cables, router etc before i rang them up (working fine night before playing BF2 ;) ) got through in 5 mins (very quick as usual) and having been passed around for 10 mins i was told i had a cease on the line, i was like a what, why, when and who done it?

Anyway AOL said they have no idea why and how it got there, but they will remove it and get me back up and running in around 5-7 days.

Ther was a few calls between this where i messed around abit, try this try that (woman with text book :o ) but at the mo ive got no internet, boo hoo.

I would have left them but 8mb (get between 3.5-4mb) for 9.99 a month and it might as well be unlimited usage as I never get capped, they say basically download as much as i wan't they are only bothered about 20+ hrs a day downloading.

I still wonder how i got a cease on the line, any ideas.

The End!

i was with aol for 7 years until this fup crap came in,wasnt even getting 512 kbps from about 5ish till after 12 every night weekends as well.requested my mac code and was told i was downloading on average 150 gig per mth with aol which is a lie as i put all my monthly downloads into seperate monthly folders and was averaging around 50 gig per mth.the guy i was speaking to offered to take the cap off my connection and reduce my monthly bill from £39 a mth to £17.99 thats with all my phone calls included.i declined and requested my mac code which i was given straight away and have since migrated to adsl24 who i must say in the week ive been with them are really good.pings in my games have went from an average of 70 odd with aol to between 17 and 29 was the highest ive seen.£19.99 gives me 30 gig peak downloads and 300 gig off peak downloads so im more than happy with thieer service.as for aol even if it was free i still wouldnt be with them i hate them that much

Well i may have been a bit gullable, but i don't download that much anyway so im happy and get good pings.

So until they pee me off good and proper then ill stay with them.

I heard off a friend that they was capping him so he moved to BT and they are worse, another friend whos with BT gets capped and he doesn't even download.

Phoned up and guy sent it will take 24hrs for my MAC code but will come in thru my AOL.

Time for UKonline or ADSL24, so far UKonlines 20 quid (full unlimited service) sounds good just dont like the 12 month contract much !

but gotta be done I think....
