aol ...

I was with AOL till the issues with the upgrades the other week. Just got migrated over to sky and it's all good so far. Currently getting about 14Mbps on my line with minimal drop out.

As far as I'm concerned Charles Dunstone/Carphone Warehouse/AOL can kiss my derriere :)

iv been with aol for years and had a perfect service and just signed a 2 year contract but last month its been really crappy. hope they get there stuff sorted!

When you say AOL is down, do you mean you cannot connect i.e. the router won't connect?

Just last night I tried to set up a clients new AOL broadband connection and I couldn't get the router to connect. Since the installation cd didn't come with the kit, I presume some DNS server details were needed or some other setting had to be made hence why the cd is needed.

If it was down, then I wasted several hours last night.

I went and tried to set it up tonight again but still I couldn't connect. Phoned the aol helpline and the automated message stated numerous times that they were aware of major connection difficulties and that was as far as I could get.

I will have to leave it for a few days and see what happens.

No wonder I stayed aware from AOL.

Try to change the Multiplexing method on the router from "VC-Based" to "LLC-Based". Some people have reported that by doing this, their problems have been resolved.
