Hello

Having issues with my monitor/GPU, cable or something that requires your help please

I bought the AD27QD a couple of months ago now and recently I'm having issues with the monitor losing signal/visual where the monitor will go black and then reconnect straight away after and this happens a few times and then comes back on and then after a few more minutes does the same, loses signal again.
I've noticed that when I play my steam games(L4D2, CS:Go) this happens but I tried BF and that didn't lose signal! I have only tried this once though for about half an hour, should be enough though to drop in that time!
I have a Gtx 1080ti and an i7 8700k with a corsair H150i
Oh I have the cable as a DP, I haven't tried the HDMI but surely that will reduce the refresh rate? I like it at 144Hz

I did try and record it but I can't add the video

Many thanks in advance

Karl

Try to DDU the Nvidia drivers and reinstalling them. If that doesn't work, do DDU & then try and find a slightly older Nividia driver and give that a try. HDMI 2.0 should be capable of driving 2560x1440 @ 144hz though if all else fails

You could try setting framerate cap to 144Hz or little below in drivers to see, if there's driver bug in handling framerate exceeding monitor's framerate.

Cheers for the advice, I've tried turning off the HDR and limiting the framerate to 60 and that doesn't give me any signal loss.
I've now upped the hz back to 144Hz and I'll try again gaming later and see if I incur any other problems

Many thanks
❤️

Unlimited fps has caused similar image blinking/blacking out issue also with some other monitors.
So chances are good that capping fps to monitors max Hz or little below it solves problem completely.
