Aorus Master / Extreme (3080+3090) Thread

Canceled my 3080 xtreme order last Friday and picked up a 6800 XT yesterday to play around with until supply becomes more stable, good luck to everyone still in queue

Hey, so I've managed to get myself a Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 AORUS MASTER 10GB GDDR6X Graphics Card, anyone else has one? Are there any decent YT reviews yet? I have had a quick scan on YT but can't see any that isn't the EXTREME version, I'm excited! My last Nvidia was a 960m in a laptop and then before that was a Sparkle GeForce GTX 580 1.5 GB.

I got a shipment email on friday and it was returned the same day to OC for missing paperwork(invoice). Still haven’t sent it back out an entire week later. Absolute joke after waiting already over 2.5 months already. Definitely not getting it by Christmas now because of their incompetence.

Yea I was 30th in the queue and I got a shipping notification last night. It's weird seeing as there was no information from Gibbo, GIGA-Man or the Aorus UK Twitter account saying that the 3080 Masters were coming in.

Oh well I'm getting good framerates in Cyberpunk 2077 with my 1080ti so I think the 3080 will be overkill (until I turn on RTX :D )
 
So... Fitted new PSU and the 3080 Xtreme.
(Ignored the super-cheap eagle-doll thing without moveable legs).

Am I missing something with the LCD screen?

I had assumed (And yes, I know what they say about assumptions) that you could configure it to be:
Playing games: Display FPS
Editing/rendering in DaVinci: Show temp
Just idle while typing on Overclockers: Display this picture of my son swimming underwater:

But, it appears not. You can set it to ONE thing only, rather than being triggered by application.

only diff is higher overclock on the xtreme and a larger vapor chamber. so expect less performance. but you get an idea of what to expect.

they allready found it in the driver update aparently. Notan apple fans video mentiond something about it...its only a matter of time it will come out trust. also got my OC email im now 62 in the que. i was 80 last friday. so im guessing a **** load of people canceld and that those were not actually orders.
