Aorus Master / Extreme (3080+3090) Thread

6th in queue for 3080 Aorus Xtreme, shipping notification received @ 14:03 - 06/01/21

I was in que postion 81 for the xtreme and have not had any update in 20 days, so I hope this means things are moving again.
prior to the stop in progress they werre shipping about 10 cards per week from what i remember.

So at this point I’m gathering that all of you have heard the latest that all AIBs are raising prices of all of there cards by an average of 25%, (conspiracy theory) so is anyone thinking that this is why the shipping of all cards slowed so much so that the AIBs could pass on the price increase to the store fronts like OCUK, and considering that the average price increase will be between £100 - £150 per card I think it’s going to be difficult for store fronts to foot that bill for all there pre-orders and will need to pass this onto there customers.

Anyone attempted to OC the 3080 master? I've never OC'd a GPU before so wouldn't know where to begin, but would be good to know if it's even worth considering. From what i have seen in terms of comments on this it may not be worthwhile on the master due to the power limit (370w), which annoyingly for us early adopters should be resolved when Gigabyte release the next rev with a 3x8pin connector.

Watch a jays two cents video on YouTube and this will hopefully give you all the info you need .

Flashed the F3 firmware to this 3080 xtreme and used Aorus Engine rather than MSI afterburner to run the auto OC scan.

Card now peaks at 2025MHz. Willing to bet it'll go further if I use MSI afterburner and set up a better fan/cooling profile for it.

3080 Master ordered end of Sept. Dropped from 170.....Fingers were crossed position 6 week before Xmas.
Xmas come and gone, fingers crossed week before new year,
new year come and gone.....must be delivery 1st week in Jan, especially as seeing other vendors with stock this week......
just received my position email.....still position 6! Wtf

No emails for 3 weeks and I've not moved 1 position!

I was in que 84 before christmas and now im 63 very happy this means hopefully just 6 or 7 weeks until it comes or the world ends anyway.
I also suspect many people cancelling and buying the scalpers cards on ebay. Well thats good for me I will be patient xD

I flashed my Aorus Xtreme 3090 today with the 500W EVGA FTW3 XOC bios.
I can confirm that the card is now able to draw 500W power, checked using HWInfo64 after running Furmark.
All three fans are working fine and my custom fan profile set in Afterburner also works.
Afterburner slider now goes up to 119%, previously 107%. This makes sense to me since at 100% this card draws a max of 420W and at 107% was drawing up to 450W.
I've only played a few hours of Cyberpunk, the temps are hitting 67C max and the core clock is flatlining at 2070Mhz. Previously I was seeing fluctuations between 1980Mhz and 2025Mhz for the same game.
I'm only using one HDMI 2.1 port connected to my LG CX. Will need to check the remaining HDMI and DPs. I'm guessing one of the HDMI ports will no longer function.
The built in screen still shows the standard egg animation, however I never installed RGB fusion so cannot confirm if the LCD can be modified with the software after flashing. If anyone's interested I can try and let you know...
Hope you find this info useful and those still waiting for cards receive them soon.

Interesting information I cant believe this card can draw up to 500W that is absolutely nuts xD
Im waiting for my 3080 xtreme and will be very interested in seeing if i can overclock it even further.

Also what average fps are you getting in cyberpunk?
