Aorus RX 500 in the wild

The cooler looks huge compared to the cut down PCB.

Looks like they learnt there lesson with the 480 series. The cooler design was spot on, VRM, GPU and RAM all under the actively cooled under the main heatsink, just it was tooo small!

2x 100mm fans i believe like the 1060 Aorus

also the case of its AMD, chuck little money at it, 480/70 went on to produce huge sales so now seems they all are chucking money at it, finally. Guessing ZEN+ Motherboards will get more models thrown at it as well in the future

This RX 480 has being an absolutely mammoth success for AMD, even though many board partners lacked faith and did not really make such a good attempt at them, that will change with 5xx series, much better coolers, lower power consumption and much higher boost clocks and improved OC potential. I am not allowed to say but the clocking is improved for sure. :)

2 more days to go :D

seems that with this lower Power Consumption has allowed all of them to go the other way and chuck more Pins and power into the card, which should be great for overclocking :D

your selection was big for the 400 series, guessing its gonna rival Green teams offering in terms of Numbers with the 500 series now :D

It's not Vega. :(

just think if the 3rd party vendors that supply both team green & red cards are now putting this much effort into team red, Vega cards should get the same treatment :D

depending on how AMD approach the card, Mabe like the fury with a Reference model and the X model allowing 3rd party designs, time will tell I guess

Yes a huge range from Gigabyte particular, Sapphire and XFX. Asus will come and MSI let us down on AMD far too often with stock on 480 series, were still yet to hear about their 580 cards. Powercolor have some nice cards coming including a new Devil as well.

:D

just a shame it seems prices will be a little higher then 480? I know its out of OCUK hands but that would have been an absolute Gem for AMD UK side that is it they were to drop the Pricing a bit to match 480

Hey come on, every time AMD release and new product or refresh the previous generation goes on fire sale and the new product comes at the price the previous gen was before fire sale or slightly more expensive.
So its nothing new, no one should act surprised, same old!

Plus the 480 deals I was doing were damn right crazy! Still a few of the Gigabyte RX 480 left, if people want a deal let me know and I can tweak the price again. ;)

smooth! need to do a 6pm-11pm after work flash B350 Gaming 3 and 1600 bundle with it ! sure they'd fly quite nicely.

That and droping the G1 to £200 to smash the 4GB models would be a gold mine for Miners in the EU :D

In terms of rx500 pricing , was in the terms of MSRP for the UK has risen for the obvious reasons :( - which i'll stop there to spam any for and against lol

@Gibbo theres probably some mileage right now in some good R5 1600 + B350 + Ram + RX 480 deals, considering Nvidia have gimped their cards on Ryzen, a lot of people in the midrange looking at Ryzen and 1060 and doing even the smallest bit of research are finding that the 480 absolutely beasts the 1060 on a Zen CPU due to Nvidias gimpy drivers right now.

RX 480 is totally awesome card and because its GCN its performance only goes in one direction, faster and faster, more DX12 and Vulkan games on horizon is good for any GCN card.

We do not do such bundles, we just price the individual items aggressively and then you can put your own baskets together.

However I will suggest we make a value but hardcore gaming bundle for the un-educated such as R5 1500X + B350 + 8G 2666 + RX 480 and a R5 1600 + 370 + 16G 3000 + RX 480, there will be little to no discount, but it will come with setup guide and OC guide for those who wish to OC. :)

And that folks is why we use OCUK :)

Top notch stuff. Im holding out for Vega before i move from this 4770k and 1070 personally, so hopefully when the time comes i'll pick up one of your 1700 + Taichi bundles and grab a Vega to go with it.

this and 1440p slides look a lot better even with CPU bound games, get closer to Intel offerings :D

and just damn, AMD screes are just so much lower then G-sync haha

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £271.09
(includes shipping: £11.10)

Think G1 8GB could push £200 mark or lower ?
Already cheapest card at moment be would be sweet to be cheaper then most 4GB models :D

Shall be £209.99 tomorrow afternoon on weekly deals, not going sub £200 simply because there are like no RX 480 about and if we do that a miner simply comes along and buys all the stock in one hit.

Still a cracking deal, now to convince the little brother and brother in law they need one for DOW3!

Would a 470 suit a 1500x - b350 deal better ?
