I updated my Xtreme to the F10a Bios update
It installed fine, but when it rebooted it wouldn't load windows. There was just a message that said:
Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key
I had experienced this before, but I was always able to get around it. I think by disabling something in the BIOS.
I happen to have a Windows 10 boot disk on a USB but in following the lovely internet I used diskpart and prematurely used the 'clean' command after selecting the windows drive
Slightly annoying but hardly the end of the world, I'll simply install windows again I thought.
But no. Every time I boot from the USB windows installer and get to the 'where you want to install windows' screen, I can see the correct drive has unallocated space on it, I can create a new disk partition, it won't let me install to the drive.
It just throws up another error:
We couldn't install Windows in the location you chose. Please check your media drive. Here's more info about what happened: 0x80300024.
This has been driving me mad for 2 hours. Any idea how I can solve it?
