Aorus X7 seems slow

Hi there - Have a version 8, which seems quite slow in comparison to my ASUS G752 which zips along like crazy. Maybe I'm missing something? I tend not to bother overclocking - I'm just doing DTP but any tips would be welcome, otherwise this will become just the backup machine. The only reason I don't use the ASUS at the moment is because the silly sods used red printing on the keyboard and you can't see it in low llight.

What does it appear slow at, loading/saving files? General desktop work? Is it on battery or mains? What power settings in windows? What power setting in Command and Control app?

Hi there - it's on mains and Smartmanager high performance in windows and C & C. It seems to be a loading problem - for example, it takes at least 6 seconds to load Outlook whereas it comes up within 2 on the ASUS. Other programs are similar. Using a samsung evo 970 as the boot drive, crucial 2 Gb ssd as data
