Looks like a nice laptop.... But a few things are odd....
In many ways, it appears similar to Gigabyte 's P35k with a larger (non-IPS) 17" screen, no ODD/swappable Bay and an additional 765m? Just wondering why the ODD is dropped in a larger chassis, as figure there must be space even with the additional gfx card.... And why TN panel at this price?

Still, all said, a very nice looking/spec laptop :)

I still think my Razer Blade is a nicer looking laptop, but the spec on that X7 is fantastic and it's not bad to look at either.

I think this laptop should sell well for Gigabyte (Aorus's parent company I think).

Looking at the Hexus review the chassis is extremely tightly packed, there is no room for the ODD within the given thickness.

I would assume that the lack of ODD is due to the increased cooling requirement and (assumed) re-location of other components.

AORUS X7 - next generation

Hi,

I am currently in Taipei and will be seeing Mr Gibbo today (Tuesday), I can however confirm that OCUK already have order placed with us for the New Aorus X7 and we "expect" delivery to hit OCUK warehouse around the end of June.

We will advise OCUK to put new spec and ETA on web-site very soon.

Gibbo and myself will make big noise on forums when we are ready to take Pre-orders:-)

Thanks for your interest in this truly stunning and innovative Gaming Notebook.

Regards,

Gigabyte UK NB Team

Very nice with the 860M in Sli. I was waiting for the Gigabyte P34G refresh but can't see it in stock anywhere yet.

To clarify, P34 V2 stock is on order for OCUK and should be landing very soon, we will switch the Skus on very soon to enable pre-orders.

Hope that helps.
