AORUS X7

Just read... Aorus X7 DT and X7 version 7 now feature the choice of a optional 120Hz (1440p) or 4K (2160p) display

What are people's preferences for gaming if this is correct?

120hz for me without a doubt. Still dubious about the physical size of the screen for 4k in games, I think whilst you'll gain detail, you'll still find the game text and objects etc too small. It will also put a lot of strain on the GPU, creating extra heat, noise, power consumption and possibly early component failure - I feel that's more than one compelling argument for the "lower" res 1440p display. Remember most people are still on 1920x1080 anyway so 2560x1440 res at 120hz is still a very big improvement for any gaming machine.

That makes a lot of sense many thanks for this. Had a look around the web and others seem to say the same. Just need them to be release now

Guessing not but is there any developments with the X7 V7 release dates, specs price. :D

I second this motion.

Hi Both,

We are requesting "accurate" information from HQ and should receive an update overnight - based on what we know now, we would expect to be able to put the units on-line with specs and pricing for pre-order within the next week or so, assume the delivery schedule is what we "expect" - ie a couple of weeks after they go live.

Sorry for the delay, but as posted on AORUS OWNERS LOUNGE THREAD thread, we are endeavour to manage expectations and don't believe the right thing to do would be to make promises that weren't likely to happen in an acceptable timescale.

Hope that's is OK, although not perfect.

Regards,

Team AORUS
