Looking to buy an aorus xp pro or msi gs70 2qe. Cant decide if I should spend that few hundred pounds more. Have seen both and yes they are hot but the aorus is really solidly built. amazing quality. Any owners can give advice on both please?

Thanks

Hi Mightymouse,

Glad you have liked the build quality of the AORUS X7 Pro.

Just in case you haven't seen previous post, worth reading the Hexus Review

And also our positioning in a round up of the years Gaming Laptops conducted by PC Advisor.

We would obviously be delighted to have you as an AORUS customer :D

Hope that gives you some additional information to help with your decision.

Hope you get some good feedback from the many customers who have purchased from OcUK.

Thanks,

Hi Matey

The GS70 has won many laptop awards over the last year also. Both brands are very strong, and it comes down to preference I believe.

The warranty sticker is there for a purpose. It's so people do not open up their laptop, damage something then blame this on the brand.

But of course, if you wish to upgrade anything on the GS70 , memory, storage, removing the warranty sticker DOES NOT invalidate the warranty.

The only way it would, is if you damage anything inside whilst upgrading.

I hope this helps!

Another point of difference between the laptops is the keyboard.
Or more specifically, the placement of the Windows key. If you're a windows power user or sys admin you'll be constantly using windows key+<key> shortcuts. On MSI laptops they've moved the windows key to the right side of the spacebar making windows shortcuts a two hand affair, which is very annoying and means you can't keep one hand on your mouse.

Anyhow, just thought I'd point it out. It's one thing that stops me considering MSI's laptops.
Other wise both brands seem to be rising the bar.

I have been looking at gaming laptops for a few days I like the aurus x7 pro but heard a few reviews saying it is terribly loud fans are they really that loud

Hi all

The KB windows key was moved for gamer's needs to stop them tabbing out of a game accidentally.

Hope this helps!

Many thanks
