Anyone know much about these things? ive got a basic one which runs a server which keeps shutting down for no reason. I got a feeling its this ups isnt working, ive taken the battery's out and there both dead and the warning light is showing up when i run the test.
I dont think its that old tho maybe about 4 years, is it normal for them to die in that time? how often should u replace them? and where best to get new ones? they look just like the ones u get in alarm panels which is good as the shop there are in stocks theses batterys.

cheers

4 years sounds about right for the battery. I usually find mine lasts about the time. Replacements can be found online, I can't name where I get mine as they are a competitor. Drop me a mail to my trust address if you need help finding a store.

4 years isn't bad if you've been using it all the time, they usually say to replace the batteries after 3 years i think. You should be able to get replacement batteries, usually a couple of large 12V jobbies.
