I'm looking for a micro ATX case 'cause I need to be able to carry my computer around. It doesn't have to be as small as this one but I was wondering if the cooling on the X-QPack2 would be sufficient for:

Core 2 Q9450
GeForce 8800GT
2 x 2GB 1066 (or 800) RAM
1 x HDD, 1 x Optical

I won't be overclocking (not yet at least), I just need to know if there is enough cooling here for the components to run at stock speed. Originally I had been looking at the Apevia X-QBoii, but it seems no one will deliver it to the UK.

Potentially it looks like there's space to drill some holes and add a protruding 120mm fan on the side... not sure if this would compromise stability though. I'm not too concerned about noise if it means I can use this case with these components - something this portable really suits my needs - and it looks awesome!

I owned the previous model of this case - I would say you would be able to fit a 80mm fan on the left hand side of the case but not the right. & replace the rear fan too as it makes more noise than a busted chainsaw. ;)

if your looking for a matx case then id recommend looking at something like a matx tower. thinking of getting me one. im looking at the mini p180 and the silverstone tj08

Thanks for the advice. Those cases are nice, but I was looking for something a little more... economical (and light). I'm currently looking at the Coolermaster Elite 340.

I had the original version and the front 80mm intake is mostly blocked so there is'nt a lot of airflow from there. The 120mm exhaust is ok but noisy. For cooling you are mostly relying on the air coming through the side vents. I had a [email protected] (crappy mobo would'nt go any higher), 2Gb 6400 ram and a X1900XT. Things got very toasty in there despite the card having a Zalman VF900 on it. Could'nt fit anything bigger due to space. You are limited with the cpu cooler too due to height restrictions. Needless to say i replaced the case. It's ok for a internet pc but not much cop for a gaming one.
