Apogee universal????

this arrived today
Swiftech Apogee Extreme Performance Universal Waterblock (WC-000-SW
in readyness for my upgrade to a new mobo soon
anyway i thought as it is a `universal fitting` and will fit socket a mobo with the 4 hole method i would put it on my nf7-s to try it out

stripped the maze 3 and pipework put the new boy together and it dont bleeding fit there is a row of caps in the way :mad:

am i doing summat wrong ,i tried different orientatation etc it just wont fit

any ides people :confused:

Same issue was posted on procooling, either cut the universal plate to clear or put some spacers with longer screws between the top and the plate to raise it over the caps.

well dont want to cut the plate as yet as i only really got the wb for my next upgrade,probally a bit silly as i havent decided on which mbo yet

but wanted to pad out my order for shipping(make it worthwhile ordering other stuff
but i have a m8 i could get to machine a new top plate,still hardly worth the effort for a few months

good news but who would i get it from?ocuk where i purchased it or is there a uk branch of swiftech that will send me one for free?
me will have to check it out,thanx for the link mate.
bit of a mootpoint though really as i am off to my engineer friends this eve for him to make me a new top plate

emailed OCUK yesterday and they told me to call during the week as they would be having a delivery of the standoff spacer packs from swiftech.nice

had a reply within the hour too,great customer support guys

currently getting around 42 oC with an xp2400 overclocked to 2.3 gig,with a themochill 120.3 and 3 ystech 38 mmm thick fans
rad is mounted externally inside an old chimmney so is a few degrees cooler than the room too.hopefully OCUK will ship me the spacers begining of next week,if they have received them that is

Might be a idea to find out if they have asked swiftech direct for the
spacers or if they have just asked who ever supplys them with
Swiftech parts as they are getting orders in as the new VGA
block are now listed on there webpage.
