App crashes / few bsod's

I think since I had a powercut few weeks back my pc has gone down hill! I get app crashes quite often, they stop responding and I get that windows error thing come up saying "report" etc..

Ive also had a few BSOD's

Sys_service_exception was one of em
Non_paged_fault or something was another

Normally these are down to hardware issues? I formatted PC yesterday and ive had a few since then as well(app crashes). My PC was oc'd only a small amount and ive put that back to default settings but I still got it :/

I guess this is either ram or HDD issue?
Im running Vista Ulti btw

You could run chkdsk to test the hard drive, and memtest to test the memory, that could help narrow it down.

Is the memory running at the right settings ie timings and voltage etc. Also, have you tried clearing your cmos and starting again?

i did a chkdsk earlier and it all seemed ok I got memtest ready to go later. For the moment I have removed 2 sticks of ram (on channels 2 & 4 as I run 4x1gb) and its been fine so far *touch wood*

I haven't touched the voltage on the ram or cpu and I had to manually enter the rams settings in my bios to what it was rated to, other than that its all standard settings.

I think I shall try swapping over the sticks of ram in a mo and see if its ok then still.
