I am very new to Apple Macs...and i am trying to download an app called 'GW Business' (Developer is Envisionworld) but it won't let me due to this error message.

However a mate of mine was able to on his Mac...is there a workaround?

When I am googling, I get that they are different operating systems between an iPhone and Mac but a bit confused. :o

I have a MacBook Air M1 running 11.3.1.

Thanks but it still didn't find it. I can see the app via an e-mail link but when i search the app store (switching with this filter), it still isn't there...! :o
Did you read the second part? If the developer has made it so it's only available on iPhone (which they have in this case) you can't install it on a Mac (M1 or otherwise). I'm afraid you'd have to contact the developer and ask them to update it or use a web interface instead (if they offer one). Your friend probably managed to get it installed before Apple fixed the 'workaround' described in the article.
