App Store(s) need differential updates

The 4.0.1 update has been released for Xcode 4. If you got 4.0 from the Mac App Store then updating consists of downloading the entire thing again. This is embarrassingly wasteful.

Both the Mac and iOS App Store badly need to offer differential downloads for updates. Games and bulkier apps often run in to 100s of MB, but this takes the cake.

Welcome to the party. Xcode has always been a massive download for even only .1 updates.

It's the same with iOS, which is really gonna bite them in the ass if they need to release a string of security updates.

As said already.. that's the usual for developers!

Beta tested 4.0 and went back to 3.2.5. Still using it because 4.0 just isn't ready for proper development just yet. Pity - there's some nice touches.
