App to remote desktop TO android FROM PC

Hey,

Needing to give some remote assitance to somebody atm, is there an app they can install that will allow me to control their phone remotely in a remote desktop/logmein style (ie it shows up to me like if i was infront of it and they can see my actions)

not afaik, we use logmein at work (for winmo devices) and have asked them about an Android client and there's some complex reason as to why it hasn't been done - afaik it needs ROM level changes to work.

There's Remote Web Desktop but that only covers SMS and a file manager at the moment.

I have VNC server installed on my phones (and tightvnc on my PC), but it requires root.

I wouldn't have thought so, however if you have a rooted phone, you could always get the user to connect to a VPN first

its not for work, its a personal phone
