App to restrict Internet access to specific programs?

When I use tethering with my iPhone 4 (very happily surprised how well this works) the connection drinks my bandwidth even when the MacBook is seemingly idle...

Is there an application I can install onto my MacBook to make it only allow access to say safari? Just for when I'm tethering?

Little Snitch allows groups. So you could switch to a group when you connect the iPhone, which will block all applications, then just allow select programs to work.

+1 for little snitch. Both my macs have little snitch.
