app to share screen across network

hi guys this was posted on here a wee while back but i cant find it - it was an app that allows you to access a screen across a network. Just curious to know if it works with both macs and pcs. Anyone know what im talking about?

There is a big difference between viewing a remote computer and sharing your monitor to multiple clients, which do you want?

its not something like vnc at all. Its like using some utility like ultramon only it works across a network.

So if i want to use my pc screen as a secondary display on my laptop i can connect via the network and somehow use the pc screen!

I definitely saw it. Just cant remember what its called.

Netsupport School and Ranger both do that as well as many others.

Sounds a bit like Stardocks Multiplicity http://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicitypro/

Allows u to control multiple computers from 1 keyboard and mouse. All u need is that they connected by a network.

none of the above were the links i was thinking of but they might do the trick.

The scenario is this:

Lets say I have a laptop and a desktop pc with one screen. If I want to use my pc monitor as an extended desktop for my laptop I dont want to have to unplug my pc monitor from the pc and connect it to the dvi connector on the laptop.

Apparently the said software allows me to connect my laptop somehow to the pc screen?

Not sure if I am making any sense or not!
