Seems this news floating around, always heard great things but never played it myself

It's said to have 4k support along with other visual tweaks that we come to expect

I doubt it as it was funded by Nintendo right? Pretty sure that's the case don't hold me to it though!

Might be worth it just to use an xbox pad. Wii U pad was not the best for combos.

Haha yeah I might buy it a 3rd time too... one of my favourite games of all time, and can finally be played at a solid 60fps! (360 & WiiU versions both had some drops).

Yeah that's correct. Bayonetta 2 was revived, funded and part developed with Nintendo. We don't know the full details of that contract however, e.g. Platinum/Sega may have an option to buy full ownership after some time period; seems unlikely though.
