Apple 24" LED any good for gaming?

Are these monitors any good for gaming? And would it be a better choice than the Dell U2410?

they use the same panel, the Apple cinema diasplay is LED backlit instead the U2410 is CCFL lit.
Mind you, the Apple Cinema Display only has DisplayPort as a video inout and it doesn't have any On Sreen Setup Menu, so no way you can set contrast/color presets, scaling etc.

You can always adjust that stuff with the graphics card control panel.

Displayport doesn't really matter as you can get a dvi to displayconverter from apple. But do they both have the same response time?

You can always adjust that stuff with the graphics card control panel.

Will that give me the same level of control as Dell OSD for both in windows and on gaming or will I have to continuosly change profiles when I switch from windows desktop to games?

I have a 24" Cinema display attached to a 5850 and it works just fine for me, although I ws forced to purchase an adaptor from Atlona to get around the MDP issue, currently only a few ATI GFX cards on the market with DP (out) will work with a simple gender change cable, the rest of us would need the following DVI solution.

http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-DVI-to-Mini-DisplayPort-Converter-p-17859.html

Apple do not offer this solution, the DVI to MDP cable they advertise is not correct as it ends in a male MDP you would need a female MDP hence the Atlona solution.

As for display profiles on the monitor, I only have 1 which can easily be adjusted in the ATI control panel, which gets around the lack of on screen OSD. Not sure how Nvidia panel works.

Although subjective I find gaming on the screen great, no ghosting from what I can see, it seems more than capable of handing L4D2 and TF2 easily, the Atlona adaptor seems to add no delay to the image which is excellent.

It's a great screen and will be even better once ATI sort out the DP issue with the 5800 series cards removing the need for the adaptor.
