Apple A7 benchmarks(does very well against Bay Trail)

Its fast:

I know the OSes are different but it is really doing well against the Z3770,which Intel has just launched for tablets a few days ago!! :surprised:

That is only for the phone version too, just imagine the tablet model??

If this is any indication of the performance of the newer 64 bit ARM cores,we are going to have an interesting 2015!!

its not tiny because its supposed to be a mobile phone.

you can get 7inch+ tablets if these screens are too small for you.
Regardless, there's a clear demand for 5.5"-6" mobile phone, and Apple is not meeting that demand. Many people I know who uses to be Apple user has already jumped on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 boat

From the looks of things the main cause of improvement was from the newer instruction set architecture, which allows the dual core A7 to do pretty well. I wonder how ARM and Qualcomm will respond? There's the Cortex-A53/57 from ARM, but are they mobile ready yet?

I think we should keep this thread on the A7 instead of the 5s... :p.

The thing is, you look a plank with bigger phones.
I had a Sony Xperia Z Ultra, easily the best phone on the market for my wants and needs.

But because of just how stupid I looked I traded down to the Z1, PSP gaming upscaled on 6.44" was absolutely perfect.

The A7 looks a cracking chip, it's just a shame it's for an iPhone.

I personally would never get an Iphone due to the poxy tiny screen. I have a Note2 and love the large screen

If you have a manbag or a purse! It has to fit in my pocket so the larger 'mobile phones' bordering tablet size will not be bought by me.

I think some people above are too quick to jump to conclusion (and rude as well) just because someone expressing what he thinks lacking about the Apple product. It was my first EVER post on a forum (internet even) discussing about mobile phone, and people reacted like I killed their entire family :/ Seriously the Apple cult is scary...

What I meant was if Apple was smart, with the 4" phone which many people deem to small, they should release a 5.5" to 6" variant as well for those that want phone of that size, rather then pushing their existing and potential customers away toward their competitions. It's not exactly rocket science, it's just simply business concept.

Agreed.

The small screen is the only reason why I won't get one.
