Apple Airserver equivalent on android ?

Hi Guys,

Is there a app on android where i can mirror my android screen on my monitor like you can do with apple airserver software ?

Onto the PC or directly to the screen? If the screen has HDMI, then a Chromecast and using the Chromecast app will mirror the phone, screen and sound.

If the screen supports miracast then you go into the display options of the phone to directly cast to it.

I would like to cast my screen image on my android tablet or phone onto my pc

but i dont want to have to buy chromecast device to do that.

I just read the airserver software pc client side is also compatible with android miracast devices.

If that's the case, on the phone go to settings -> display and select cast screen at the bottom, and see if it picks up the airserver.

thank you so much for your help. i got it working with airserver and the miracast service built in to my cyanogenmod rom pick up the computer and displayed it.

Is there a free version alternative of the airserver software.

ideally dont want to really pay for it as i dont use the feature that often. at the moment i have the trial version which is 7 days only

Searching around seems quite interesting, I did not know Windows added the API to receiving Miracast since 8.1 but did not release an app of their own. Sadly it seems AirServer and Reflector are the only two solutions but also are not free.

just a heads up. airdroid also has "airmirror"

and it can control the phone from click and point too. You need the windows program installed however.
