Apple bad luck continues (iPod problem)

Well following from my iPhone throwing itself off a cliff last week, my iPod video seems to have developed a problem now. It only syncs so far on either windows or mac. The error on Windows is error 69 and on mac it says the ipod cannot be read or written to.

Thoughts on this people?

well my ipod kept on disconnectiing by itslef. i went into add/remove programs and repaired itunes. it owrked after that. note, it may delete all of your music

I had similar before, was a dirty dock connector on the iphone itself

I have cleaned and used several usb cables in several ports and no luck

Do you not think it may be a HDD issue?

Isn't there an app from Apple to hard-reset iPods?

Sure I downloaded it once for a stuck iPod, can't remember details though.

Restore it through iTunes? Assuming it stays connected.

No such luck restoring it on itunes on either mac or windows
