Hi guys. Just wondered what your thoughts are on Apple care. Is it worth buying?

I currently have a 20gig iPod (4g). Had it 2yrs and its battery now lasts only a hour or so when fully charged  I'm likely to upgrade soon, taking advantage of the £100 rebate when purchasing a Mac. Is paying £30 or so (with HE discount) worth it to extend its warranty to 2yrs?

if you've had it 2 years, thn wouldn't the extended warranty be no longer valid?

Probably better to replace the battery yourself, comes in at about £20, and is dead easy to do.

any flat headed screwdriver will do, at least for the 3G and 4G ipods.

haven't tried opening my ipod video yet, as its still in warranty
