Hi,

my macbook power adapter died, replaced fuse still dead. Borrowed my mates power adapter which works, and works with my plug so its defo my adapter.

Anyway, phoned Apple who are gonna replace it for free. They want me to send the old one back when the new one turns up, again fine. Should I tke photo's of the adapter and photo's of my mates working one? Basically get pickies of the pins of the plug?

I also look on the negative side and automatically assume they will try to shaft me at the earliest opportunity like every other company.

they took my credit card details incase they decide I broke the power adapter and then can charge me.

Am I worried over nothing?

If they decide its my fault it doesnt work then they charge me! I haven't touched the adapter, left the macbook on over night, woke up and the adapter is dead.

On the phone the woman asked if all the pins were ok, I said yes. So, If I take photo's I can argue my case.

Anyway its hypothetical atm.

Sounds like I'm worrying over nothing anyway.
