Apple Cinema Displays Question

Evening All..

As some of you know, I bought a macbook a couple of weeks back and besides some minor problems (mainly me being thick!) everything is now running perfectly!

I've sold my windows based machine to my dad and as a consequence, I'm looking to buy an apple cinema display.

With the HE discount i can get the 20" for £359ish (iirc) which isnt far off what I paid for my dell monitor!

My questions are as follows..

Would you recommend the 20" apple display? If not, any suggestions - bearing in mind the mini dvi output on the back...

Also, bearing in mind the macbook's native resolution is 1280*800 - will this look ok when scaled from 13.3" to 20" - or would spanning the display be a better option??

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

I'll have a look at the dell! I've always had dell monitors - but when I got a new work laptop - i sold one of my dual 24" dells to fund my macbook purchase - and the second one went with the pc to my dad!

Maybe I should have kept them!

I do know the dell is fantastic.. maybe I'll go and see what I can get.. and swap it with my dad!

Anybody else have any experience with the cinema displays??
