Does anyone know the how much credit Apple gives for certain phones?

If you’re upgrading from another iPhone, remember to back up your data to your computer or iCloud. You’ll also want to take note of your Apple ID. We can even give you credit for your old iPhone towards the purchase of a new one.

Apple has an in-store trade-in program and an online program, with the online trade-in program offering up to $310 for a 32GB iPhone 5s in good condition.

I have a mint condition iPhone 5 16gb with 1 year left on warranty. I am trying to sell it but may be worth just trading it in

edit - seems I can get about £190 for it - http://store.apple.com/uk/iphone/reuse-and-recycling

Black iPhone 5 64GB, mint, locked to EE. £110.

Er no thanks :)

I think it's the network locking that drastically reduces the value.

Yep, network locking reduced it vastly.

In store Apple offered me £125 store credit. (handset only) The online price you have to send it off with accessories

You'll probably get more from Apple!

MM here would give at least £100 more and eBay would probably give £250 more before costs, I'm thinking of buying a 5s in a couple of weeks when the market's collapsing and I anticipate paying £300ish then for 32gb.

Interesting reading.

Here in Australia we only get offered free postage to send your old iPhone back (no cash back on the handset itself). But we do get a whopping 10% discount on a new iPod if you trade in an old iPod

Hmm...I might be tempted because my iPhone 5 16GB is sitting here in the drawer going to waste and I have no family members to donate it to. £190 could go towards another gadget!

Id like to send them my old 16GB iPhone 5 for Recycle although the battery sucks on it. Its on the Apple battery replacement scheme - does anyone have any opinions on whether that'll be an issue when they come to do the proper valuation when they receive it ?

Not sure anywhere would pay more than the £165 O2 is offering as my phone is not in very good condition at all.

It seems the main things for O2 are that the screen is in tact and it hasn't suffered water damage, which it hasn't. The phone itself has seen much better days though so doubt it'd be worth more on the MM or eBay.
