*****Apple Fall Event 22nd Oct*****

Excellent thank you.
From what I can tell the internals are all the same now, the screen res the same etc. The only question you need to ask yourself is do I want a 7.9inch display or a 9.7inch display?

They have same OS, same camera, same processors, same memory allocation etc? Is anything else different about them?

Nope. Purely just the size it seems.

I'm not sure the 13inch RMBP proccessors are better then the i7 MBA at present but the rest of RMBP looks better..

Oh come on!

Just because you only need 16GB absolutely does not mean everyone does!

Well even in top config it's not got enough flash to store all your photos and movies... So why bother splashing out on something it can never be

I'm not anti apple, the ipad is the best tablet money can buy, we have 3 in our house, and I will drop 500 on one nov 1st

So less of the roll eyes

The roll eyes were perfectly justified.

Your point there also changes nothing. That's like saying that because you can't own every movie, song and book in existence, why get any at all?

The simple fact is that a lot of people want to store more than 16GBs worth of content (not just movies and photos...) on their tablet. That's a fact, not really something you can argue with.

You may be perfectly happy with the 16GB version, I am not however, and I know I'm far from the only one. So to say that you only need the 16GB version is just incorrect. This applies to all tablets, not just ipads.

Been a great event and I'm super chuffed Apple did the sensible thing and gave the iPad Mini 2 the same specs as the iPad Air. I'm still very happy with my 2013 MBA and have no desire to purchase a new Pro but I'll definitely be upgrading my iPad Mini to a Mini 2 64GB :)

Only bad points is they are still starting at 16GB and the iPad 2 is grossly overprice!

So no pre-orders on the iPad Air, as with the 5S. So the choice is queue up to try to buy one on launch day at a store or order online.

Two questions arise. If I opt to buy in-store, what are the chances of stock (black 64GB 4G). If I order online, will it be delivered on Sat 2nd or will I have to wait until Monday?

I was trying to say to fox he doesn't have to whine about model prices.

Let's face it... The ios OS is carp at storing stuff... It just is

If you need 64GB then fair enough, pay the over inflated storage costs, it's your choice. I love apple products.... And couldn't give a monkeys about pricing as cost is not a issue. Personally I don't store stuff on a tablet

The chances of getting a 64G is HIGH, not many people want or can justify that price.

16G will be sold out first.

Question for photographers. Sister is after a new rMBP for photo editing with Photoshop. Is the 13" i5 (dual core) going to be enough for photo editing? She's unsure if the 15" will be too big and heavy for her. I know that the i7 quad core is the better option, buts she is having second thoughts at the moment. Any advice will be greatly received.
