Mostly an iPad event but I'm most interested in the rMBP been waiting since June, also hoping for a Mac Mini refresh and I'll bag one of those too :D

Looking forward to finding out about the new iPad mini since I just won one at work and waiting until this is announced to order it :D

Are they not likely to be announcing the release of OSX Mavericks at this event as well? I thought that was one of the big ones coming soon.

SO the basis of the entire day will be , will the iPad mini2 be retinal or specced similarly to the nexus7 2, and just what will they do to the ipad 5 that makes it worth having over the 4, which was what the 3 was meant to be anyway.

I look forward with interest.

I will replace my ipad2. Ios7 sucks on it (the cynic in me suspects Apple make it suck to encourage people to upgrade to the new hardware). It would be wonderful if there was something truly innovative to arise from this event.

Surely the 5 will have narrow bezels, better processors and probably touchID?

Possibly an iPad 5c?

If the iPad Mini is retina, I'll probably go for that over the new iPad tbh. It depends what the bezel shrinking does to the feel of the full size iPad

ipad 5c,

got the phone, love the finish, not sure i would like it, but it's defiantly nicer to hold than the aluminium.

would like to see a re-release of a macbook, specced like an air, but in the new 'C' cloths.

Well if I remember correctly, the iPad 2 CPU/GPU combo is a good 25% and 20% the speed of the 4 respectively?

I don't think they are intentionally gimping anything, just hardware gets outdated in the mobile space ridiculously quickly.

The regular pro, or the retina? Have there been rumours about changes for the pro?

Not sure - will depend on pricing and upgradability. If I can get a 13" retina that is easy to change HDD and RAM for less than £1300 then I'll be very happy. I'm not holding my breath though, and I get on fine with the regular screen.

As for spec rumours, there's a summary on MacRumors.

It will be interesting to see what iPad appears as Google also prepare to launch their Nexus 10 replacement. Should be a good fight.
